I am a sporadic poster to devart but am always taking photos. As a result when I post I tend to post in bunches. If you like wildlife photos please look back at older photos in the gallery - I have LOTS of them in there!

Ahhh... the joys of summer heat! Once we passed the soltice the heat arrived to stay here in Nashville. Makes it harder for me to leave the nice cool air conditioning to get out with my camera but I have been trying!! This recent batch is mostly from around my building at work. Hope ya'll enjoy looking as much as I did taking them!

So I was thumbing through the gallery with Pat the other night and she asked "Why do some of your pictures have favorites on them and others don't?" Seemed that some of her (and my) fav pics were not favorited by people while others that she wasn't as fond of were.
And I thought to myself: Darn good question!
So here's the question put to you! What makes you decide to Favorite a picture or add it to a gallery?

And that means more photos!

My combined Solstice & birthday gifts were a DSLR with all sorts of filters and stuff and a 200mm lens to go with it! This is a big jump from my little Kodak point and shoot! I have had a lot of fun with it already though - as ya'll will see as I add photos!
This first batch is from a class I took at the Nashville Zoo. 30 degrees, snow flurries and eight of us were out there taking pictures! We pretty much had the place to ourselves which was kinda nice XD

Spring is here and that means lots of blooms. We have several beds around the house - my favorite is the "kitty garden" which is just full of random blooming plants. There's literally flowers in there from March until the first of the hard frosts! It is also where some of the pictures of Ricochet are from
Since you can't see the flowers in person, I thought I would upload some of the pictures from this year!
